Here we go again.....iPhone XR draining aprox 30-40% faster than before update to iOS 14.4. Before update, I usually had 30-40% battery at the end of the day.......now putting on charger at night with 1%~5% life....ridiculous!!!! Its been 3 weeks so battery should have settled in. Tried most of the fix suggestions and refuse to do DFU. Having DeJaVu back to my iPhone 6sPlus with the 2017 battery drain issue!!!! Come on Apple, get it together.

But I should not have to charge it when not in use. My habits have not changed since install and I was not having to charge when not in use prior to install. I will look thru forums a little about your “most users battery life improves”. From what I came across at first glance I do not think this is true.
Not trying to be adversarial....I appreciate your advice. All I’m trying to say is none of my usage or charging habits have changed thru 4 generations of iPhones and now these battery issues pop up after 14.4. I do understand there are things I can do to extend battery life.....it has just never been necessary in the past 8-10 years and don’t think it is necessary now. Thanks again for your input.
89%....I don’t think that has changed since I installed 14.4. Fact is I went from 30-40% battery at end of day to 1-5% end of day after install.
Charge it when not in use. The updates actually improved the battery health for most users and models.
You don't have to follow my advice. Your battery will not last as long if you continue charging it your way.
When it drops to 80% replace it.
If 14.4 cause any issue regarding battery life we would have tens of thousands of posts in these page.
We don't because it didn't.
