My Iphone 7 showed :" Your Apple ID has been locked for security reasons. To unlock it, you must verify your identity" when sign in Apple ID. I have been contacted with apple support in Viet Nam, they have required the invoice of seller but i can't show it because i didn't remember the seller's detail. Until now, I only remember name, birthday my Apple ID. Please help me to unlock my Apple ID.

Thanks and B.Regard.

Hello dantung,

A locked ID has nothing to do with a seller or a device. It is on your Apple ID account on Apple's main computers. Read the next link to see how you need to handle this:

"If you or someone else enters your password, security questions, or other account information incorrectly too many times, your Apple ID automatically locks to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services."

If the message says your Apple ID is locked or disabled, click here and read what to do --> https://support.apple.com/HT204106

Also note "What to do after [or before] you change your Apple ID [email address] or password". Click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT204071 - "After you change your Apple ID email address or password, you might need to update your sign-in information with any Apple services you're using." - Or if you're seeing persistent disabled messages or repeated requests for the password to your previous Apple ID.

Recover your Apple ID when you can’t reset your password - "If you use two-factor authentication and can’t sign in or reset your password, you can regain access after an account recovery waiting period." - https://support.apple.com/HT204921

If you cannot resolve it yourself try one of these contact methods:

- Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region/media-services Select your country, then a product.

- Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - https://support.apple.com/HT204169

Please note that most people posting here do not work for Apple, we're just unofficial volunteers, users like you, trying to help others. We can only advise you on what you can do to help yourself.

"If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions" click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT201485

If you see the message "not sufficient information" read this link:

Security and your Apple ID - https://support.apple.com/HT201303

"Without proof of your identity via a temporary Support PIN and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you perform any actions on your account." Unfortunately the solution they offer using a temporary PIN also requires knowing your security questions answers... Catch-22.

With that in consideration, "Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security" click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT204169 If the online option does not resolve the problem I suggest trying to get a personalized response with a chat or telephone call. To talk by telephone: Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support --> https://support.apple.com/HT201232

For other support options including those if your country does not have telephone support: https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region To chat, choose any topic, (not Apple ID) continue working your way down options until you find one with chat support, then ask to be redirected.

(Note: If your country is not listed, there may be a support option at the end of each region section for "other".)

It may ultimately prove very difficult to find satisfactory resolution to forgotten security questions (e.g., https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252410816 ). Apple is very strongly urging users to use Two Factor Authentication instead of security questions. --> https://support.apple.com/HT204915
