Massive white noise blasts from Logic Pro

This has been posted a few times over the years and more, recently.

Massive error in Logic, suddenly cranks up the output to over 500dB and fires prolonged white noise into the ears of everyone in the studio. It doesn't matter what interface, Focusrite Saffires, Fast Track Pro, native headphone output.

Check any audio engineering forum for how dangerous this is and how much time is wasted when your instrumentalists don't want to put headphones back on.

It's happened to me 3 times now on 2 different Macs, latest being an M1, and again leaves me with tinnitus for 2-3 days.

W T A F is going on?
