Why am I not allowed to move my purchased audiobooks from my iPhone and onto my MacBook?

I paid maybe 150 dollars total for some audio books that are installed on my iPhone.

Is it possible to move my audiobook from iPhone -> to -> Macbook?

It looks like you can sync from macbook to iPhone, but not the other way.

Please give me a solution. The only way I can get my audio books to play on my mac is by using bluetooth. This is not sufficient! Mostly because bluetooth refuses to turn on for what ever reason.

If it is not possible, please tell me why.

Are you using a different Apple ID? Try with the same Apple ID on both Mac and iPhone. --> Listen to audiobooks in Apple Books - Apple Support
