Notification sounds muted automatically

I don’t want my notifications to be muted, but somehow they are automatically muted every day. It’s aggravating because I miss important messages because if it. I don’t have my mute switch of my iPhone 7+ on, so why does this happen?

Message sound notification on I-phone XR I have read through the previous questions, all of the sound notifications are turned on, and I still only get sound notifications sporadically. The sounds always seem to go off when I am in holding the phone, or sometimes when replies are being sent to me, but not when I am a little farther away. I have missed many messages in a timely fashion because my phone doesn’t go off. The last trick I tried just a few minutes ago was to turn the lock sound off, but don’t know if that will help yet.

Notifications will sound and show when the screen is active. I have checked Settings>Notifications also Sounds and Haptics, also checked Focus... ios 16.1.1 not allowing text messages alerts After updating my iPhone 12 to iOS 16.1.1 I no longer get notification alerts for my text messages. The text message comes through and the notification shows on screen, but no tone is heard. I have enabled the correct buttons under notifications and the volume is okay. I can manually sound the tone, so it not that. Anyone else having this problem?

Some of the reasons are listed below which may direct your calls to VoiceMail

DND status
Bed Time schedule
Call Audio Routing method
Ringer Volume level
Call Forwarding to another number
Silence Unknown Callers [Enable] Calls status : Only numbers in Contacts, Mail, and Messages ring your phone. All others are diverted to VM
Blocked Calls
