iPhone turn off while charging

my iphone suddenly turned off when i was currently using it while charging. at first i thought it was due to overheating because the phone was quite hot when it got turned off. after one hour, i tried turning on the phone but it displays nothing (black screen). i then tried force restarting it but it still displays nothing (black screen).

i tried charging and leaving it for more than an hour as people were saying that maybe my phone has run out of battery so it was not displaying anything. i then tried force restarting it again after charging it but it still displays nothing.

so basically my phone is literally dead right now

does anyone know what else i need to do?
