Terrible eye strain with new iPhone 12 Pro Max

Couple of days like I have my new, very much expected, iPhone 12 Pro Max... and I cannot use it at all because of eye strain. 3-5 minutes with new iPhone and there is a pain in my eyes and head. Tried for many times with intervals - same result. Do not have these problems with my iPhone XS Max. I am very disappointed and do not know if there is a solution. Anybody experienced the same?
