Stuck in “transferring data”

I Used quick start to transfer data, my new iphone cannot make calls and my old iPhone is stuck at “transferring data to new iPhone” with about 12 minutes remaining for the last two hours.

data transfer not working Hello, The automatic data transfer from iphone 8 to iphone 11 is currently not working on my devices. Sometimes I get: not enough space to do tranfer (while I have 20GB free) other times I just get message transfer cancelled. I have tried multiple things. Sim card in new or old iPhone; connecting both to a charger; making sure battery is full on both devices. I'm not actively working with iCloud. Does anybody have an easy option to make the data transfer work?

Quick Start occupies both devices, so make sure that you choose a time when you won't need to use your current device for several minutes.
