CalDav password incorrect popups

We just got new iPhone 12 Pros. We were upgrading from iPhone 6S models. We are having an issue in the Reminders app that it keeps prompting us to enter the password for CalDav. I keep entering the correct passwords for the associated gmail accounts and it keeps saying the passwords are incorrect. It also has stuff at the top when I go into the calendars setting to “verify account information”. I enter the passwords correctly and it just keeps popping up as if it’s not right. I’m about to pull my hair out. I know I’m entering the correct corresponding password for the particular google account. What is going on? Thanks

I actually solved it by just deleting caldav and CARDDAV altogether. I engaged the calendar and contacts toggle for my Google account and then deleted carddav and CalDav. I have not seen any negative effects from doing this. I no longer have the password popups. I set these gmail accounts up this way using CARDDAV and CalDav protocols way back when we had iPhone 4s and never changed the settings. I don’t think CARDDAV and CalDav is even used these days with Google account setups on iPhone. I could be wrong about that, but I think it might be an old and out of date way of doing things.

Have you tried turning off Calendar and turning it back on? If not, give that a try. You’ll see the steps in “Check your app settings” found in If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync.
