Magic Mouse - Slow to Respond

I just purchased my brand new magic mouse for my brand new MacBook Pro 16" and it's being very "laggy". I've checked the mouse settings and they are set up correctly. I even bought a mousepad. Any suggestions on what the issue would be?

Mouse Lag in Mac OS Monterey So I upgraded my MBP late 2015 to Monterey. First I just upgraded and all worked fine expect from an overheating issue. I decided to wipe the disk and do a fresh install. Overheating issue is gone but now I'm facing another issue. The apple Magic Mouse 2 are lagging. After what I've read it seems like I'm not alone with this. Any news about this issue/any ways to fix it? Thank you!

Mouse Lag Monterey 12.6.1. Mac Mini. Wired Mouse (two, Logitech) This problem started only recently, maybe 10/22. When my wired mouse started lagging, I though it was getting old. So I replaced with a new wired Logitech Mouse. I cleaned the mouse pad. I checked the settings. I found other people having similar problems. So, it seems this is all about Mac, not my mouse. It's unbelievable to me that Apple allows this to go unfixed. Some of us have work to do -- and it's cursor intensive. This is beyond frustrating. It's infuriarating. Anyone found a fix? A legitimate fix? Apple forced me to choose from among irrelevant topics. I do not have a "magic mouse". Is that what I have to buy now? So tired of this BS. thanks
