A whole host of problems with my iPhone 12 Pro Max

I purchased the 12 pro max when it came out and ever since then, my service and my phone have been weird. The list of problems include:

turning down my music and not having the option to turn that notification off so that it won’t do that anymore.

phone calls would be dropped while sitting still or moving or radio silence for a few seconds and then back to normal but multiple times throughout a call.

my phone will not load while connected to ANY WiFi source but as soon as I turn WiFi off the pages will load.

I reset my network settings and that just made EVERYTHING worse. My phone will not notify me of text messages or phone calls most of the time or it notifies me minutes to hours later or not at all. The places I used to have 2 bars of service I now have no service and when I turn airplane mode on and off it will come back but only for minutes because as soon as it goes into sleep mode and I turn it on, I’m back to no bars. It doesn’t say no service just nothing at all or if I try to make a phone call it automatically says call failed.

I mean the list goes on but it’s becoming an even bigger issue now because it just keeps getting worse. I’ve done all my updates, I’ve tried all the tricks but nothing is working. It’s only getting worse. I changed my SIM card to try and get better service but that did not help and I’ve reset my router and my phone hundreds of times. And I know it’s not just my WiFi network it’s every network I connect to. There is some serious flaws with this phone.

Call Failed or Dropped Calls

In telecommunications, the dropped-call / Call-Failed rate (DCR) is the fraction of the telephone calls which, due to technical reasons, were cut off before the speaking parties had finished their conversational tone and before one of them had hung up (dropped calls or Call Failed). This fraction is usually measured as a percentage of all calls.

5 Reasons Your Phone Keeps Dropping Calls or encounter Call Failed.

  1. Your Signal Is Weak.
  2. It's Raining (Cats & Dog)
  3. The Cell Tower Is Overloaded / Heavy Traffic (Telecommunication)
  4. You've Misunderstood Your Signal Strength
  5. You are moving and the signal weakens while changing from one tower to another

Options Are...

Usually cheap phones demonstrate these behaviour because often they employ low-quality antennas that are vastly inferior to more expensive components, and at times battery quality impacts signal strength, too. And if you still encounter problems, calling your carrier's tech support line may offer clues as to reasons for your call failure or dropped calls.

Check your WiFi Router / Modem for --> Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points ...

Connecting to Wifi is the first part and then getting connected to the Internet is the second

  1. If you connect to Wifi, doesn't necessarily mean you are connected to the internet. If you are not connected to wifi could be a problem with iPhone settings or Router/Modem Settings
  2. If you are not connected to the internet is the sole issue of Router / Modem Settings. Contact your ISP immediately

For your Internet connection.

  • Over Cellular: contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider). The agency who issued the SIM to you
  • Over WiFI: Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the agency who provided the Internet Service on your Modem/Router to you

Reset Network Settings: Only network settings are removed.

  • When you reset network settings, previously used networks and VPN settings that weren’t installed by a configuration profile or mobile device management (MDM) are removed. Wi-Fi is turned off and then back on, disconnecting you from any network you’re on. The Wi-Fi and Ask to Join Networks settings remain turned on.
  • To remove VPN settings installed by a configuration profile, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the configuration profile, then tap Remove Profile. This also removes other settings and accounts provided by the profile. See Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone in this guide.
  • To remove network settings installed by MDM, go to Settings > General > Profiles & Device Management, select the management, then tap Remove Management. This also removes other settings and certificates provided by MDM. See “Mobile device management (MDM)” in the iOS Deployment Reference.
  • Reset your Network Settings. Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

If the above fails...

Reset All Settings: All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, the Home screen layout, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.

  1. Reset All Settings: Return iPhone settings to their defaults - Apple Support:- Return iPhone settings to their defaults
  2. You can return settings to their defaults without erasing your content.
  3. If you want to save your settings, back up iPhone before returning them to their defaults. For example, if you’re trying to solve a problem but returning settings to their defaults doesn’t help, you might want to restore your previous settings from a backup.

the headphone issue, as mentioned, had no button to toggle the headphone notification on or off on my IPhone. There was nothing; no button, just a grey’d out setting that wouldn’t let me go any further. This issue was resolved by reconnecting my Apple Watch series 3 and turning off Headphone Notifications under the Settings>Sounds & Haptics>Headphone Safety>Headphone Notifications.

I do appreciate that advice but I always purchase my devices either directly with apple or with third party retailers. This phone was purchased directly through apple this time. I put my name and payment down as soon as pre orders were available. Normally I purchase my phones through my cell carrier, but this time I went through apple directly and this time, this phone, is having some major issues where my other phones had issues but they were minor in comparison. Could it be because I bought the phone through Apple instead of my carrier that could be the cause of my connectivity problems? I feel like that may have something to do with it. Like the phones purchased through retailers such as cell providers, are programmed directly for them and because apple is world wide it isn’t computing with my carrier’s service like it normally would.
