The bandwidth for Wi-Fi or ethernet should be more than enough either way, with a good home network setup.
Wi-Fi can have interference issues, that play no role with ethernet: Other neighboring networks, other radio, metal shielding, power hungry electrical appliances. Wi-Fi can have low signal strength by distance. Ethernet should be fine over 100 m (328 feet) cable length without repeater. Ethernet is mostly plug-and-play on home networks (no sign-in or passwords).
If you compare them, then ethernet is arguably better. But one could use Wi-Fi without any issues. So the choice is up to you, and your specific situation.

Most users prefer Wi-Fi due to having less wires however as Urquhart1244 says it depends on your wi-fi network. I have always used Wi-Fi on my devices however a couple of years ago I installed a Mesh network to ensure my Wi-Fi reached all areas in my home with a strong signal. If you are unfamiliar with Mesh networking , it's worth looking into. Some good reads are:
