New MacBook Pro and iPad Air chargers interchangeable?

I have the 2020 MacBook Pro and the iPad Air 4. Both use USB C to charge, so my question is can I use one to charge the other safely?

I use a USB to USB C cable to charge my iPad, and the normal charger with my MacBook but it would be handy to have one in my office and one in my room which could charge both products.

Does it matter about the W or anything? I’m clueless about this stuff.
