Somehow, the album art on my iPhone is totally messed up - wrong album art is showing. But, it is correct on my Mac. And I sync my music from the Mac to the iPhone, so 1) I don't know how it got messed up, but, more importantly, 2) how do I fix this? Should I just delete all the music on my iPhone and start all over? There is no music on my iPhone that isn't on my Mac.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, the artwork for certain albums on your iPhone are incorrect, do we have that right? Since noticing this, has the music app been forced to close and your iPhone restarted? You also mentioned that you sync using music from your Mac, is your Mac up to date or if you are using iTunes, is iTunes up to date?
You can also sync your device to your Mac again as well.

Are you seeing artwork from other albums showing up or seeing the generic microphone? If you are seeing the generic microphone this may be expected behavior. The artist would have to set specific artiwork for it to show. You mentioned that your iOS was up to date, but how about your macOS?

This was helpful. Thank you very much. However, it didn't work. I re-started my iPhone, ensured all apps and iOS's were up to date (they always are anyway), and then re-synced my iPhone to my Mac. Should I delete the Music on my iPhone and start all over? Would that be an option? If so, then is there an efficient way to do that?
Thanks for the reply. all my OS's are up to date. I'm pretty good about that with auto update and I check them weekly anyway. I am seeing other album artwork; and it's not even like an album is "attaching" to another album. different songs from the same album may have different artwork. Next step, to your point, is to contact apple support.
