They shouldn’t restrict the use of a iPhone if I am not longer want services with such companies that apple do business with such carriers

What the carriers should do and what they can legally get away with doing are two different things.
The carriers do not have a financial interest in allowing a phone to use another carriers network, therefore, if they don't have to unlock it, they won't.
You'll have to talk to whatever carrier you used about that.

Carriers refusing to unlock iPhone , cause the fact if I no longer want their service that way force everyone to buy another phone , matter of fact even if is not a contract involved, let’s say a prepaid
If I own my own phone , why depend in companies to unlock the phone , why companies locking phone after no longer provide service with such companies
