When I miss a FaceTime call, my iPad plays a repeating “notification” sound, but only if it is attached to its charger. The notification sound stops upon unplugging the charging cable from the iPad. How do I turn off the notification?
I took the iPad into the San Luis Obispo, CA Apple Store last Saturday. Bottom line, Reseting the iPad via “Erase all Content And Settings” resolved the problem.

Does this occur with any charger or just the one? Does this happen only on one power outlet, have you tried another?
