Nike Run Club app on Apple Watch SE not displaying run that was started on the phone

Hey everyone,

I'm getting extremely frustrated with the Nike Apple Watch and the NRC app. I love the app in general, but since the last few runs, my watch stopped displaying the run when I start the run on the phone. It has worked many times before, but it stopped.

This is what I usually do:

  • Start the audio guided run on my phone and play music from my phone.
  • Put my phone in my pocket and run with the run stats on the watch WITHOUT separately starting a run from the watch.

Now:

  • I start the audio guided run on my phone, but I can't have a run on my watch unless I manually also start it there. Then it shows twice in my running history.

What I've tried to do:

  • uninstall the app
  • update my apple watch
  • log out and back in to the nike app

After I did all these things, the nike app on the watch now doesn't even show my past runs anymore but just says "start your first run".

Here are screenshots of the devices:

Really really hope someone can help me out! Thanks in advance!

Hi hannah_wagner,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with your Apple Watch keeping track of your workout when using the Nike Club app. We'd like to help.

From what you've described, it sounds like you've done a lot of steps to work on resolving this so far. It sounds like after uninstalling and installing the app, you are not seeing your previous workouts anymore. Do you have a backup of your Apple Watch? It's possible that you may need to unpair and repair your devices to restore your backup to the device: Restore Apple Watch from a backup

After completing that step, it may be helpful to reach out to the app developer to see if they have any other options to get this issue resolved: How to contact an app developer.

Hope that helps!

Take care.
