MX Keys will not pair with Macbook Pro

My MacBook is not finding the keyboard, either by USB or by Bluetooth. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? This is the second wireless keyboard I've tried and have had the same issue with both.

I get the 6 digit code, enter it and then click 'enter' on my keyboard, and then click the 'pair' button. It briefly says connected in the bluetooth preferences but then changes to not connected. Keyboard no longer works with MacMini M2 Ventura Purchased a new Mac Mini M2. Was working with it fine until a couple of days later and the keyboard stopped working. The new computer is useless without a working keyboard. It is not Bluetooth. Model # A1243. Are there any keyboards that will work with Ventura?
