I just bought the iPhone pro max and was playing around with the camera and noticed that some colours (it was a purple colour if that helps) clearly aren’t as vibrant as they should be irl. I’m not sure if there are setting that I should be selecting but it’s a bummer because my old iPhone 7 shows the colours much better. Just wondering if there’s anything I can do about it?

To ensure the best performance possible, we'd recommend making sure you keep your iPhone up to date using Software Update. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
The latest version of iOS software is version 14.4. If you need to update, please be sure to create a backup before doing so. How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
If you don't notice a difference, or you're already up to date, we'd recommend adjusting the display. Check out the 'Turn on Color Filters' section of this link: Use Display and text size preferences on your iPhone

You're very welcome. Since it seems to be the camera, we'd recommend reviewing what to do If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working as expected.
If you've already updated to iOS version 14.4.2, and the steps in the link above don't resolve what you're experiencing, the best solution is to Contact Apple Support for additional assistance with what you're experiencing.

thanks for your reply. So it’s not actually to do with the display I don’t think because I’ve done all those things. It’s the actual colouring of the camera. The colours are much duller and don’t show bright colours well at all. Is there anything else I can do? It’s so disappointing since it’s such a new phone.
