Apple SE watch will not par with IPhone 6

My new Apple Watch SE will not par with my IPhone 6. It says my software is out of date but my phone says it is not. What do I do? Thank you

It won't pair with an iphone 6,watch SE requires a phone with at least ios14,your iphone 6 will only update to ios12.
