Missing photos

I’ve just gone into my camera roll to realise there is heaps of my photos missing! It’s not all of them I still have a fair few but I would say atleast half of them are gone. I’m distraught because they are photos of my baby that I will never be able to get back. The only thing I can think of that could have caused this , is I logged out of my iCloud and logged into my partners as my Apple ID wasn’t letting me download apps so I logged into his so I could download an app. What can I do and how can I get my photos back? I don’t have them backed up anywhere

Hello ash-lee241,

Photos are an essential part of our lives, and ensuring you're able to have access to all your photos is important. You provided great information regarding the steps you took prior to losing your photos. It sounds as though you may have had iCloud Photo library enabled. When that feature is enabled your photos sync to iCloud, and upon signing out can be removed from your devices.

If you visit the iCloud website from a computer such as a Mac or PC, sign in to your Apple ID, then click on Photos do you see the missing photos there? If so, upon signing back in to your Apple ID, and enabling iCloud Photo Library in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Photos, those photos should return.
