How do I force upload photos to iCloud?

I'm running a 256gb iPhone 7 plus, about 180+gb of that is occupied by my photos.

I figured it was about time to transfer to cloud so I could free up some space, but when I tried purchasing the 200gb storage option of iCloud and uploading the photos there, it only uploaded 1.3gb. I keep checking on it every few minutes and it doesn't seem to be uploading more.

Is there any way for me to manually upload everything or force the photos to sync?

I checked the iCloud Photos on iPhone Storage under settings as well and it says it's uploaded 2% but hasn't moved from that since last night so I know it isn't uploading more.

What should I do now?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 13

Hello JorelTeotico,

We can help you get to the bottom of this to make sure your photos are being stored in iCloud.

Is your iPhone connected to a strong Wi-Fi network to help with the transfer? We can view the progress in the Photos app. Our Apple Support page has the full details under the 'How do I see the progress of my upload to iCloud Photos?' section, here: Get help with iCloud Photos

If the upload shows no progress, try connecting to another Wi-Fi network. We can also try restarting your iPhone and making sure it's using the latest iOS version if needed: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
