i noticed that there’s a tiny white dot on my screen that disappears when i hover the mouse and moves along when i scroll i tried resetting but it’s still there. what is this and how can i fix it?

We see from your post there is a small white dot on the display that shows most readily on darker backgrounds and stays in place, despite scrolling or switching to different apps.
This may be an issue with a pixel on your MacBook Air display. We'd recommend wiping down the display with a soft, clean lint-free cloth. If the issue persists, the Mac may need to be inspected to resolve the issue. If that is the case, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly.
