Media freezing while importing to DaVinci Resolve 17

Hi all.

I have the new M1 MacBook Pro here and I've been editing on it as well. Using the new editing software called DaVinci Resolve 17, although there are some tedious difficulties I've been facing and it's not just this software of DaVinci Resolve 17, it was freezing during the attempts made to "search" for the desired media to import in the 15 as well.

This has been going on for some time without any fix. I tried to find Apple's contact email for this without success, so here I am posting about this persistent issue here.

So, here's how the issue usually occurs. I open the media pool for media selection, I try to "search" by writing the name of the video or picture I've on my laptop, after hitting "enter" it freezes. It takes a good 2-3 minutes to start working again, and during this time, I can't minimize the screen or quit it, even the app itself is frozen.

It works fine if I don't search for media using the "search", which means I have to scroll down for my desired media individually. Although this strategy works but fine it's a pain in the backside.

The persistent freezing issue is impeding my workflow.

If there's anyone that has expertise in this topic, please feel free. And if Apple or Davinci Resolve should address this issue through an update.
