iPad Volume Child Lock without headphones

Hello Apple Community,

I don’t let my child use headphones but he has learnt to max out the volume on the iPad itself. I’m aware we can use screen time to restrict volume when using headphones.

is there a way to child lock or restrict volume on the device itself when not using any headphones?

Hello dheerajmalik,

We understand that you want to know if you can limit the maximum volume on the device when headphones aren't being used, and we'd like to provide some information.

"If you have Screen Time turned on in Settings, you can prevent changes to the maximum headphone volume. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Reduce Loud Sounds, then select Don’t Allow." You can find more information about that under the "Limit the headphone volume" part of this page: Adjust the volume on iPad

Take care!
