HomePods not connecting to Wifi

Yesterday, my HomePods started reporting "I'm having WiFi problems" or "There's a problem with the WiFi" or "I'm having trouble connecting to the WiFi.

None of my other devices (MacBook Air, iPhone) are having problems connecting to the WiFi.

Any ideas about what's going on? and what to do to fix it?

Did you power cycle your router yet? That is always a useful troubleshooting step. If you have a dual band router you may find that HomePods are more stable if you disable the 5GHz band so they only have one available network to try to connect to.

I’m glad it worked for you, but it didn’t for me.

I’ ve tried unplugging and plugging back in. And I still get the message about not being able to connect to the WiFi. I’ve also been told to check in the Home app for more information, and for the life of me I haven’t found any helpful information.

im about ready to throw the HomePod against a wall and see if that does any good.
