GarageBand lost files

So I recently got a new phone and almost all of my GarageBand files transferred correctly. However, I had a specific folder of songs that I have been working on for the past 6 months and the folder itself transferred but it’s empty.. is there any way to recover those files or are they just gone forever now?

Relinking Greyed-Out Songs on the Desktop Application I have a few songs the I ripped myself and added to my music library years ago that—after upgrading to a new computer—are greyed out. The songs' info says that they are matched and located in the cloud. I have backup copies on my computer, but I can't figure out how to relink the songs to the files.

Where are my old GarageBand/ iTunes songs which I recorded before iCloud/Music app existed? I recorded several songs in GarageBand and exported them into my iTunes library at some point prior 2010. As far as I knew they remained in my iTunes library ever since. Now I am trying to find them and there is no more iTunes and they are not in the Music app. Shouldn't they have simply transferred to Music? In fact a lot of music seems to be missing... there are only a very random 70 or so artists listed... My primary concern though is the music that I recorded as well as original music that my friends had recorded and sent to me are missing. I am afraid these files are lost forever! Are there any unexpected places where such things might be saved after all this time? Is there a certain file format I should look for? I have looked in the music library on my desktop (go>home>music>). The garage band folder is empty, the itunes folder has like one file, and the music folder has a library which is the very bleak Music library. Any suggestions???

Moved some older music files into my current I-Tunes folder, but I can't get I-Tunes to see them. I copied some music files from a back up into my current I-Tunes>Media>Music folder but I-Tunes doesn't see them. Some were additional albums from artists already in I-Tunes, some were artists I didn't have in my current I-Tunes list. I thought by putting them in the music folder, I-Tunes would see them but it hasn't. Should I back up the whole shooting match, delete what is there now and then restore or is there something easier that I could do. I just spent a lot of time ripping my CDs to I-Tunes for my phone. I hate to have to do that all over again just to get some of these other albums I was missing (and no longer have physical copies of). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
