Big Sur update. 11.2.2

i updated to the latest Big Sur version 11.2.2 When I connect my Macbook Pro to the TV (for example t show a video), nothing works. None of the ports are working . It looks like others are having the same issue after updating, from what I can tell from my searches. Will Apple be fixing this SOON? Is there any more information other than what I see online?

thanks

Thank you. Technology changes so rapidly there's always something new to learn for all!

(Surpised no-one with a bit more experience than I have hasn't chipped in.)

Have come across a bit more info that may help you:

Having the right cables, or adapters, for both your particular Mac, and Big Sur might be necessary ?

Use external monitors with your Mac

Thanks for your reply. Before the updates, I was able to connect this computer to the TV and play a movie no problem. The only thing that has changed is the updates. It seems strange to me that an update would require me to look into new adaptors when before the updates, they worked fine and that was also with Big Sur just a slightly earlier version than the 11.2.2 and 11.2.3 (it would have been an 11 but just don't know which now). Also, from what I can tell, others online have said they have had the same issue. However, I will take a look at your suggestion.

Thanks again
