MacBook Air 13' is lagging and some customizations are not permanent

It's been only a year since I bought my MacBook Air 13' but recently some lagging and freezing problems occur when I switch desktops, scrolling websites or while using multiple apps at the same time. In addition to that when I change my wallpaper then I restart my MacBook, it changes to a different one. One more problem is my MacBook does not remember my personalisation choices. For example I do not want Spotify app to show up automatically when I open my MacBook - I did not choose it to show up- but it does show up. Hope I can find useful advices to solve my problems :)

To remove Spotify from launching at Startup >> System Preferences > Users & Groups. Click your account name and notice a Tab Startup Items. Spotify should be listed - and high- lite it >> little - ( minus sign at bottom ) and remove Spotify.

The MBA is a good machine but does have limits when running several Apps all at the same time. This can also happen while having Multi-Tabs open in a Browser and several Apps running too.
