Why are there commercials on the tv shows that I have purchased on my Apple TV now?

I bought the complete series of The Office on my Apple TV. Now it has commercials in it. Why is that allowed? I paid for it. I can watch it somewhere else with commercials.

Apple TV HD, tvOS 14

You wouldn't be viewing your purchase if it had commercials, if the title is also available on another service you may have inadvertently accessed it there instead. You can long press on the title and then scroll down to 'how to watch' to choose the appropriate source. If you are noticing it happening consistently you can always contact Apple support.
