in the map it says my airpods were last seen yesterday at 12pm, i was still at my house at that time and left to work at like 1:45pm in case i dropped them at work and someone found will their location show up on Find My? or not
Airpods don't have GPS or wifi so they only report last locations detected over bluetooth by your phone. That only has a range of a hundred feet or so. If you took them to work and left them in the case all the time and dropped them at work then it will not show their location at work. If you took them tto work and used them then it should show their last detected location as where you work, but if somebody later found them and took them then it won't track their current location unless it is within bluetooth range of your office.

"Find My is the only way that you can track or locate a lost or missing device. There is no other Apple service that can find, track, or otherwise flag your device for you." ALL the requirements must be fulfilled for Find My to even have a chance to work.
- Find My [device] must have been set up before they went missing.
- They must be in range (<100') or all you will see is "last location".
- They must be charged (see the link for details).
- They are not inside their Charging Case (Airpods Max Smart Case is not the same thing.).
- They have not been reset by somebody who found them.
- To find a single Airpod, put the one you have in the charging case first.
- You cannot track a lost case with Find My.
