Pairing to apple 4k YouTube app

I have a Logitech K811 Bluetooth keyboard that I have paired to my apple 4K TV box and it works fine.

However, it will not seem to pair with the YouTube app I downloaded from the Apple app store.

Any suggestions?

Oddly, it does work with the Apple TV remote, so I can only assume Google decided that they only want us to use the remote and are digging their heels in on other peripherals. Very annoying. I would assume that it's something to do with Google being anticompetitive etc but the purchase has already been made. You lost Google. Get over it, get over yourselves, and make the keyboard work in your lonely app.

Bluetooth keyboard not working with certain AppleTV apps? Noticed my Bluetooth keyboard not working with certain AppleTV apps, including YouTube, HBO Maxx, HBOGo, etc. I have tried to unpair and pair it, re-booting AppleTV....nothing seems to work. Never had issue before, just in the past few weeks. I have the most current AppleTV 4K. Anyone else having this issue?

If you are having an issue with a specific app, and it persists after force quitting and reinstalling, then you will need to reach out to the developer.
