I have an ipad that is logged into a old apple id. The email address is no longer active so can't do a reset of the password. Even if I could when requesting a password reset apple say the account isn't valid;-
This Apple ID is either not valid or not supported.
so I'm pretty much stuck with an ipad I can't reset and give to my mother in hospital.
Has anyone any thoughts what to do TIA

If you are the original owner, contact Apple. Apple can remove the ID if provided the required paperwork.
Request additional support for unlocking your device
Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
