Robotic Voice Calls
I’m having this weird issue when I make a call on my iphone 8: the other person if they are on a iPhone their voice sounds really robotic. Kind of hard to explain but just bad audio.

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! It seems you're experiencing poor audio while on calls with your iPhone.
Check to see if the behavior is related to cellular issues with Voice over LTE (VoLTE). To do so, tap Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options, and tap Enable LTE (if you don't see this setting, the feature isn't offered by your carrier), disable voice from being selected, and then test the behavior: About the LTE options on your iPhone - Apple Support
If the issue no longer continues when VoLTE is disabled, then reach out to your wireless carrier for assistance.
If the behavior persists, then check to see if it's a speaker issue. To do so, ensure the Ring/Silent switch is set to ring, tap Settings > Accessibility > Audio Visual, then drag the left-right balance slider all the way to the right side. Then, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone, and tap a ringtone to test the speaker. Do the same with testing the audio balance to the left side.
