You don't. Your Mac is not a phone.
The more complete answer is that the MAC will not accept SMS data from a product not made by Apple but it will accept SMS data from an iPhone.
Non Apple products are not capable of using continuity and/or handoff for seamless transfer of data/functionality between themselves and Apple products.
