Apple Watch 2 has stopped working.

Apple Watch 2 has stopped working. It was displaying the charging cable icon and I attempted to go through the steps provided to resolve. Watch was placed on original charging cable, and did not charge back to being able to turn on. Attempted to push the side button to turn on and nothing. Attempted to reboot by holding dial and side button for 10 seconds and nothing happened. The watch now has a blank screen and is just gets hot while its on the charger. No longer working and need help to resolve.

Well no luck getting the watch to turn on and went to the support page and being that the watch is out of warranty its $229 for the repair/replacement. Unbelievable that a product would only last for couple of years of use and then you have to almost repurchase it in order to get something that should be able to be resolved. Very unhappy right now with the decision to even own one of these. My Citizen has run for 20 years with no issue.
