Sony True Wireless won't play from Ipod

Sony WF1000XM3 will PAIR with Ipod but won't PLAY, work fine with Andorid phone.

Ipod model ME979LL/A

Ipod Version 9.3.5 (13G36)

Itunes 12.10.10.12

iPod, iOS 9

Hi again weelz321,

It sounds like other bluetooth headphones are working with your iPod, just not these ones. Since other ones are working, it is not an issue with your iPod bluetooth. Try these steps to check for interference: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference. Also make sure that you have selected your earphones as your audio output in Control Center.

Upon following the above directions, I was still unable to get music to play thru the Sonys.

I have two other BT earbud sets and two BT speakers and they all play fine. Again, the Sonys PAIR easily but once I hit Play on the Ipod the music only plays thru the Ipod speaker.

I went thru multiple resets and attempts with someone from Sony to no avail. The Sonys play fine thru my Galaxy S7 and even thru my Chromebook.

This is very frustrating because I carry all of my music on my Ipod (I like the small size) and I prefer to use my phone for internet and phone not music.

Interestingly the Sonys don't show up in the Control Panel. Obviously there is some issue here, not sure it can be remedied. Thanx for your help
