Remote Management screen in used iMAC

How do I prevent OS X from starting Remote Management at boot?

I've inherited a used iMAC desktop that used to be remote managed from corp. headquarters. At boot, I get a screen that says: Remote Management server could not be found. Option-Cmd-P-R is not bypassing the Remote Management screen.

ticking remote management has frozen access I have been checking out an old Mac Mini controlled by screen sharing on my newer Mac Mini running Big Sur. Everything was fine until I went on to sharing preferences of the old computer and for some reason clicked the tick box for 'Remote Management'. Now I can no longer control anything on the old computer, including reversing the tick box! I restarted from the on-off switch and can see the startup log-in but can't type anything in the box. Nothing of the old computer shows up on the new computer's location in the finder apart from the computer name so I can't get to its system preferences again that way. I assume that remote management has somehow blocked me but don't know how to get rid of it. Help appreciated!

Remote login hangs on "starting..." Since today I'm experiencing an issue with the Remote login functionality which is blocking. I open System Preferences, Sharing, I check the checkbox on Remote login, and then I get the message "Remote login starting..." as in the screenshot below, but nothing happens. If I quit the window and I open System Preferences > Sharing again, the Remote login checkbox is unchecked. I tried to restart my Mac to no avail. Is there any log I can check which can give me a hint about what is happening? I checked under /var/log but I can't seem to find anything helpful. I use remote login often, and it has always worked. I'm on macOS 10.15.7 (19H1922) Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Remote Management Software my ex-employer, now out of business, added remote management software to my BYOD MacBook Pro. How can I remove the remote management software? When I boot from an external disk with Mac OS Catalina, everything works fine. I then wiped the internal disk, reinstalled MacOS Catalina and the startup wizard is forcing me to log into a company server which I can't because they are out of business. How can I delete whatever RM software is on the device?

Go into the System/Sharing preference pane and make sure the Remote Management checkbox is unchecked.

Contact the IT team at your work and ask them how to dissemble that feature. `

thank you.....but I can't get past the login screen that is attempting to access the remote server for setup. I've tried ALT, and SHIFT......& it always comes back to a series of setup screens, stopping at the failed remote management screen.

other suggestions?
