Stuck on software update

I just got an iPhone 12 mini today and am setting it up from my SE first gen. I believe all the data already transferred over; the SE shut down on its own and when I powered back up it was at 64%. Now, the mini says it’s updating to iOS 14.4.1 but it’s been two hours of this one screen and I’m afraid it’s stuck. Help please. Also, will this be a problem in future updates?

New iPhone 11 stuck on iOS 14.0.1 software update during set up I have just received a new iPhone 11 this morning and have been trying to set it up. However, whenever I try to install the iOs 14.0.1 software update, it gets stuck on the "preparing update" section - I first tried using quick start to copy over data and settings, but the phone got stuck for an hour during this process. Having looked on the forum to see what other users have done, I have then tried updating it as a new iphone rather than using quick start to copy over data and settings but this does not help. It continued to stick at this point. I have the phone connected to wi-fi and plugged into mains. Can support help please? Thank you David

iOS 15.4.1 update stuck at “preparing update) I just got a new iPhone from work, have wiped/reset my old iPhone 12 mini and am trying to set it up for my wife to replace her old iPhone 8+. During the configuration/transfer process, it is stuck on “preparing update” after it downloaded iOS 15.4.1. I have restarted several times, but the process keeps hanging at the same stage… what can I do?

Must be connect to power all the time during update.

Be patient, if after an hour and there's no joy, reboot the iPhone.

Make sure the iPhone is connected to power and Wi-Fi for update.
