Can't get Screen Sharing to work Since Big Sur 11.2

I used to have no problem sharing my MacMini screen on my MacBook Pro, but it seems that since the 11.2 update, it doesn't work. I am connected to the MacMini..I can access all the MacMini drives in Finder on the MBP, but when I click Share Screen, it thinks for quite a while then gives "Connection failed MacMini."

I have turned off the firewall on the MacMini and made sure the permissions are correct and that Allow incoming connections is active for Screen Sharing. See screen grab below.

Again, it used to work flawlessly until recently. I can share the MBP screen on the MacMini without an errors. The Firewall setting is On on both computers.

Troubleshooting this:

A. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:

Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for screenshare become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. It might take up to three tries to reset both successfully. So, be certain you have the time to do so.

B. Try a New User:

Create a new user (for troubleshooting purposes) - see if it still happens. If so, then it is something created in your current user.

Also...

C. Screenshare with Apple Support:

See what happens when you contact Apple Support, and request to perform a screenshare (for troubleshooting purposes, just to see if it works). If it works, then it is likely something to do with the Application you are using this with - and the developer has yet to do their part in getting it all to work with the macOS.

Contact Apple Support:

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Solved this with the help of Apple Support. Ejected and unplugged all my external USB drives and rebooted both machines. Screen Sharing then worked. Reconnected the drives and screen sharing still works.

When in doubt, unplug everything and start again I guess.

For some, turning off screen sharing, restarting and then turning screen sharing back on solved the problem.

Personally I've have not had any screen sharing issues, but the difference might be because I'm sharing over my local Ethernet network instead of a Wi-Fi network.
