Apple’s (partner) return period for trade-in is 14-days - after which the “return” is understood to be automatically cancelled. After 14-days, you would need to initiate a fresh trade-in.
You would need to directly contact Apple with any queries. You need to understand that the trade-in programme is not handled by Apple - but instead a partner company who processes trade-in returns on behalf of Apple.

My understanding is that you just start the trade-in process again. A trade-in does not have to be linked to a new purchase.
You may find that any email acknowledgments that you have already received provides a point of contact, or email address, for queries relating to your trade-in.
