Apple Watch 6 - play podcast without internet or phone

I have an Apple Watch 6 and would like to play podcasts while exercising outdoors without my phone or WiFi. I’ve followed the set up instructions, however as soon as I’m out of Range from my watch and home WiFi the podcast stops playing and the watch say I do not have an internet connection. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to sync the podcast to you watch from your iPhone

I don't believe that you can stream them to your watch.

Though I may be mistaken on that.
