Can you share the Apple one iCloud storage with another Apple ID from a different region

Hi,

I am currently living in Japan while my Apple ID for iCloud is from the US store. But my media account that I use is another Apple ID from the Japan store.

I noticed that Apple One supports sharing the iCloud storage with a different ID from that of the media account. I wonder if there are any requirements regarding the region of the two IDs?

More specifically, would it be possible if I purchase Apple One in JP store using my Japanese media account, and use the additional iCloud storage with my US account, which is also the main account that I use with my MBP and iPad?

No, sharing is done as part of Family Sharing and that requires all Apple IDs doing the sharing be located in the same country.

Sharing purchased content with Family Sharing - http://support.apple.com/HT201085 - "With Family Sharing, family members get immediate access to each others’ music, movies, TV shows, books, and apps, and can download them to their own devices any time they like." " Not all content and content types are available in all countries. To share purchased content, all family members must use the same iTunes Store country or region. Music, movies, TV shows, and books can be downloaded on up to 10 devices per account, five of which can be computers. Apps can be downloaded to any devices the family member owns or controls."
