APC Back-UPS RS 1500G listed in USB report but not showing in Energy Saver

I have a APC Back-UPS RS 1500G and it is connected to my new Mac Mini M1. While it is listed as a USB

device it doesnt register in the OS as being there under the energy saver dialog.

I used to use apcupsd on earlier versions but that is no longer compatible.

What am I doing wrong or is this APC device not supported any longer by Big Sur

Below is the report from the system

There is usually another cable that comes with the UPS. One end of this cable has the USB-A connector and the other end has what looks like the Old Wired Telephone jack connector. The Phone jack connects directly to the female connector on UPS and USB-A to computer. This cable is the communications cable between the two devices.
