I can’t enable notes from my outlook account because only mail, contacts, calendar, and reminders, appear as options. As you can see in the screenshot, there is no notes option for the Hotmail account, even though the notes option appears on all my other mail accounts. What is going on? How can I get my notes back?

We understand that you're experiencing an issue syncing Notes from Outlook, and we'd like to get you pointed in the right direction for a resolution. Head to Settings > Notes > Accounts. Once you're there you can add a new account directly, or enable an already added account to sync with your Notes. If the issue persists we recommend double checking your Outlook account to ensure it is set up as an exchange account.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t work because the option to enable the account for notes, doesn’t appear under the outlook account. If I go to my gmail account, I do have the option to enable or disable notes, but under the outlook account, my only options are: mail, contacts, calendars, and reminders. No Notes option. See screenshot.
How do I check if my account is set up as an “exchange account”?
