Old m4p to m4a

I have a .m4p song I purchased from iTunes at 2005 with my old Apple ID email address. I can authorize my Mac and play it in Big Sur Music.app and QuickTime Player.

But unlike later songs purchased with my current Apple ID email address, that does not show in my purchased songs.

Is it possible to convert it and other old .m4p files to DRM-less .m4a files?

In principle if you take a subscription to iTunes Match you should be able to match your old purchases in the iTunes catalog, remove your local download, then download a DRM-free matched 256K copy which you can use thereafter. Might be a stretch to go to to release one track though. There are also complications that arise with multiple IDs and that probably don't help either. See Authorization vs. association - Apple Community for details. Best bet is probably to burn the track to audio CD and then rip back.
