How to use the main account in mail.app but not allias

Hi everyone)

I have a friend who has the main apple id account ****@yandex.ru and he also has allias ****@icloud.com

somehow he setup on bigsur in mail.app his allias (****@icloud.com) as primary email, but he want to setup and use his primary email ***@yandex.ru , to receive mails from yandex.ru

Please explain me , how to possible to remove allias email from mail.app ?

I advised to create new test user, but he want to use the main mac account

Any suggestions?

He needs to add the yandex email account either to Internet Accounts or in Mail. Add an email account to Mail on your Mac - Apple Support

iCloud.com is not an alias to the yandex email account. The yandex email account name is the username for AppleID. The iCloud.com email account comes with your AppleID.

If he doesn't want to use iCloud email account, you can disable it in the iCloud section of the AppleID or Internet Accounts System Preferences. Just uncheck Mail.
