Song menu of the Music app complete greyed out
I am running the latest macOS (11.2.3).
I just discovered my Song menu is completely greyed out. I do not have Apple Music, just my own music library.
How do I fix this?

That menu option is File > Add To Library... I cannot get it to grey out for me, but I suppose there might be a context in which it is disabled. Did you try moving to a different part of the library? Is it still blocked for you?

I have not added any new songs in the last few weeks/months. I just noticed this yesterday.
What changed? Nothing comes to mind. I basically kept macOS and applications up to date. I did not move or touch my music library for quite some time.
Other than that, I live with Microsoft tools + Teams :-).
Ah, I see what you mean. I was looking at Music in Catalina rather than Big Sur. Some bright spark has decided to confuse things by changing the menu to read File > Import... I was only able to spot it by using the keyboard shortcut Cmd+O which remains unchanged.
I'm not sure what function Song > Add To Library is supposed to perform. I do have Apple Music and thought it might work to add tracks to my cloud library, but no. Doesn't become active when I've got a song selected in the local library, iTunes store, Apple Music, or a home shared library. I'll leave that one as a mystery for now.

If will be greyed out if you have no content selected.

Sorry for not being 100% clear with my question.
What I wanted to do is to add songs to my library by selecting "add to library". But that command was greyed out.
