Apple Support - Privacy concern
My Facetime and iMessage was not activating so I connected with Apple support. The support guy asked me to confirm my Apple id and a pop up showed up on my screen which I had to confirm. It read something like: “Would you like to confirm your Apple id and allow Apple to access the serial number of each of your devices to expedite your interaction? If you did not contact Apple do not confirm this request.”
I confirmed it and now my Facetime and imessage is activated.
While the support was great I just have this nagging feeling if confirming the pop-up is anyway related to some security or privacy concern. Can someone help and if they had a similar experience?
