My AirPods Max lost its ability to pair with my television with the new 3C39 upgrade. I did a factory reset, tried to pair again a number of times and though it reads the name of my headphones it doesn’t pair. Any suggestions?

Just to confirm, do you see any specific error messages when you attempt to pair your AirPods? If so, what does the error say?
Are you trying to pair your AirPods to Apple TV? "Apple AirPods connect automatically to Apple TV if they’re associated with the same Apple ID." More about that under the "Connect Bluetooth devices to Apple TV" part of this page: Connect Bluetooth devices to Apple TV

Does the issue only happen when trying to pair your AirPods to your TV? In other words, are you able to pair your AirPods to other devices without an issue?
If the issue only happens when trying to pair your AirPods to your LG TV, we may need to have you contact LG for further assistance.

The tv is an LG and the AirPods Max paired with it before the upgrade. It still identifies the headphones by name but will not pair even after a full factory reset of the AirPods.
